Overview:Town and Country recently went through a property-wide renovation, turning the resort into a cool, mid-century modern playground, with tons of opportunities to create fun and engaging activities and events.
The perfect person for the job is someone who enjoys event planning, is highly organized, is a good communicator and has lots of creative ideas how to bring more joy to Town and Country patrons.
As the Events and Activities Coordinator has the responsibility of planning and successfully executing special events and activities for our overnight and day visitors, area residents and resort members. Current events you would oversee include a spring/summer concert series, fun activations for families, and monthly surprise and delight happenings like flash mobs and live performances at the main pool.
Responsibilities:
You will work closely with our Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to plan and manage special events at the resort and dining outlets. Develop, manage and execute guest activities and activations including managing seasonal staff. Create and publish a monthly calendar of events and activities and effectively communicate the schedule across resort departments. Research and develop partnerships with potential event partners and manage their participation in special events and activations. Oversee the contracted music program including happy hour, pool entertainment, holidays and special events. Work closely with the Marketing Team on planing and executing special events and activations for area residents and marketing and merchandising special events and activations. Work with the Membership Director to plan and execute special events and activities for resort members. Provide support to the Sales, Marketing and Membership teams on special projects as needed.Develop project schedules, track production and maintain deadlines for programs and projects managed under this position. Develop key performance targets and post-campaign performance reports for programs managed under this position.
Qualifications:
2+ years of work experience in event planning, conference services, marketing or communications. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and juggle many projects at once while maintaining a positive attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Delphi and other software as needed.
