Active Directory Engineer

Job Summary:

Applicant will work with the customer to develop and execute a multi-site Active Directory migration

The work can be performed onsite at one of three locations: Peterson AFB, CO or Hanscom AFB, MA

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, designing, and developing, a migration plan for users and machines in a large, multi-site, multi-domain environment.
• Implement migration plan including:
  • performing discovery activities in a legacy environment
  • analyzing reports from discovery
  • using discovery to adjust migration plan, as needed
  • use migration management software to perform migration of users and machines in accordance with plan
• Manage migration activities and system configuration on multiple physical and virtual machines across multiple data centers
• Develop scripts and tools to automate migration of a large number of users and machines distributed across multiple data centers
• Provide clear technical documentation and written procedures for migration plan and provide verbal and written status of migration activities including highlighting risks, issues, and strategies for addressing
• Assist in installing and configuring migration management software and associated components

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience with Active Directory design and migration
• Experience managing and troubleshooting in a large multi-site environment
• Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision
• Anticipating potential problems and acting to minimize the impact they may have on the project or unit
• Ability to collaborate with different technology owners to achieve common goals
• Ability to manage multiple stands of work simultaneously
• Executes within a customer-centric environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Experience executing active directory migration using Quest Migration Manager

Job Stipulations:

Obtain and keep a Secret Level clearance

Must Maintain DOD 8570 required certification at IAT Level II or higher

Must be able to work onsite at facility location

Must be DOD vaccination compliant
