Accounts Payable Clerk

STARTING RATE: $20 - $21/hr. depending on experience

SHIFT: Full-time (Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week), Day shift

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review invoices for correct account allocation, support documents & proper authorizations
• Research & complete any vendor accounts needing resolution due to pricing issues, authorizations, payment variances to statements
• Review vendor statements to ensure timely and accurate payment per vendor terms and contract
• Accurately code and input invoices in the computer system for multiple entities
• Select invoices for payment and then print, mail and file checks weekly
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements including matching receipts and coding to proper GL accounts
• Set up and maintain accurate vendor files in the computer as well as files open & paid vendor invoices
• Adeptly use excel to create spreadsheets

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Microsoft Word & Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
• Accounts Payable: 1 year (Preferred)
• Learned knowledge of accounting functions and procedures
• Proficient in the use of computers, general organization and reconciliation skills.
• Capable of organizing information and self-monitoring of completion of responsibilities and duties.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with immediate supervisor to resolve problems and expedite work
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Adhere to work rules, procedures and company policies
• Other duties as assigned
• Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness and kindness
