The Ascent support office is in Springville with programs located throughout the state of Utah . As our Accounts Payable Clerk, you will help our company run efficiently and effectively through receiving, scanning, entering, and reviewing all company payables and ensuring they are paid in a timely manner. You will also assist the Controller in miscellaneous accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Enter bills into Quickbooks weekly
• Pay, and/or print and mail checks weekly
• Scan and electronically file bills weekly
• Enter program and petty cash registers into Quickbooks monthly
• Audit and file register receipts monthly
• Categorize bills into the correct expense account
• Flag, research, and resolve any unusual/questionable items/prices
• Communicate with the Executive Directors for approval
• Manage vendor accounts including sending 1099s annually

• Prepare Quickbooks upload file for CFO
• Inter-company Reconciliation

Requirements

Please ensure your resume includes education, work experience, certifications, and licenses

• Able to pass criminal investigation background checks
• Eligible to work in the USA
• Able to pass motor vehicle record checks
• Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
• Experience with Excel
• Basic knowledge of Accounting
• Experience with computer word processing
• Experience with Quickbooks
• Experience working with the public
