Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. has an immediate opening for an Accounting Systems Administrator.
This position supports the General Accounting and Accounting Services teams, but also works cross-functionally with IT and other business functions. The ideal candidate works well independently, is able to juggle multiple projects, and has the flexibility to address immediate needs of the business. We are looking for a problem solver, who can think critically about issues as they arise, and work to implement solutions and drive process improvements.
Responsibilities:- Understands the functionality of the Lutron accounting software packages, including their system limitations and basic reporting capabilities.
- Performs software administration tasks, such as basic technical set-ups, managing user access and permissions.
- Works with outside consultants on existing process improvement projects and drive projects to completion.
- Evaluates current technology use and needs of the company and recommends improvements.
- Remains current on advances in technology.
- Supports the General Accounting and Accounting Services teams as problems arise, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
- Troubleshoots first level of user problems and concerns regarding systems, network, and connectivity issues; researches and resolves issues.
- Interfaces with infrastructure and systems personnel.
- Accurately communicates resolution plans, progress, and issues in a timely manner.
- Manages user account administration for network and various portals.
- Actively contributes to ongoing process improvement.
- Coordinates specific work tasks with departmental personnel within the department and accurately communicates resolution plans, progress, and issues in a timely manner.
- 3-5 years IT experience
- Project and process-oriented with previous IT experience.
- Experience using various payment management tools and systems
- Experience with software systems integration between various platforms
- Experience using document management systems that integrate with an ERP system
- Experience with AR and AP practices preferred
