Each month, 4P Foods delivers nearly 7,500 lbs of food to underserved communities through six community partners.
Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for increasing sales of local and regional food across our existing customer base as well acquiring new customers and building long term relationships. This position is paid Salary + Performance Based Pay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Account Management - Managing the customer relationship including but not limited to relationship building, customer expectations, placing daily orders, and pricing/volume growth models, account profitability.
- Cross-Department Collaboration - Coordinating solutions on any problems that arise with customers, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse and other departments.
- Reporting Activities - Capturing and presenting key performance indicators to ensure a focus on consistently improving performance.
- Business Operations - Work with managers and internal customers to understand the company’s needs, understanding how the account manager’s role impacts other departments.
- Create and develop sales models and reports in order to manage and grow business in order to meet set sales targets.
- Work with a CRM to ensure Customer accounts are up to date and accurate
- Interact with accounts via email, in person, and/or via phone. Cold calling as well as routine meetings with customers is required
- Ensure positive relationships, communicate/address issues as they arise, work to find long-term solutions to recurring issues.
- Evaluate relevant systems. Develop and implement sales procedures as necessary
- Assist with market development opportunities (social, promotion, sampling events)
- Analyze trends and gather sales data to report to Procurement, Operations, Logistics and Management
- Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse managers to determine sale items, conduct product quality assessments, and monitor inventory levels
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- BS degree and/or a minimum of 4 years of related work experience in sales, buying, or account management
- Experience in Customer Service desired
- Proficient in G Suite, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of and interest in food systems and supply chain management
- Strong negotiation, persuasion and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results individually and as a team.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Maintain a positive attitude and focus in a fast-paced and changing environment to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
- May require travel.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
