3 year old Special Education Teacher Assistant
Job description
Work co-actively with students to teach self-help skills. Be prepared to assist with teaching students to dress, feed and bathe themselves.
Disinfect and clean toys, equipment and other items in classroom.
Assist students with daily classroom assignments; set up, operate, and put away instructional materials, instructional equipment, adaptive equipment and assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
Assist and supervise students in the library, art, music, physical education, lunch periods, assemblies, recreation/play periods, and field trips.
Responsible for class management when the teacher is unavailable or out of the room.
Supervise students before and after school, before and after class, escort and/or transport students, including students who use wheelchairs or other assistive devices from buses to rooms and from rooms to buses.
