- High school graduate or equivalent and three to twelve months experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Create Bill of Lading (BOL) for various customer orders
Constant communication with the transportation department
Scan/Fax documents
E-mail
Audit shipments
Create UPS shipping labels for various customers
Working with various truck drivers/customers
Assist with shipping safety guidelines
Coordinate trailers with spotter driver
Communicate with Receiving to assist with various
Able to learn/retain procedures used in our AS400
Learn other Shipping functions
Basic computer skills
Basic RF unit skills
Able to do simple math
Able to create labels/documentation for DHL orders
Able to create labels/documentation for international FEDEX orders
