This is a FLSA Non-Exempt Hourly/Non Supervisory Position

Who We Are: The Guidance Center is a non-profit community behavioral healthcare provider serving the communities of Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Polk, Sebastian and Scott Counties in Western Arkansas.

Who Are We Looking For?:

We have an immediate opening need for a Criminal Justice Liaison.

Qualifications

-Possess a HS Diploma or equivalent (GED) with training and experience in criminal justice is required (Bachelor's is preferred but not necessary)

-Must be able to interact effectively with The Guidance Center staff, consumers and the public in general.

-Must effectively work without daily Supervision

-Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality/discretion

-Possess a positive a team player attitude

Responsibilities

-Serves as single point of contact to communicate and collaborate with the local justice system (Jails, Sherrif's Department, Correctional Health Service and others)

-Acts as the Interagency liaison with Arkansas Department of Corrections, County Jails, Sherriff's Office, Correctional Health Services, and Probation Departments.

-Collaborates with Arkansas State Hospital and the Arkansas Division of Behavioral Health Services in regards to the Forensic Outpatient Restoration Program

-Coordinating Forensic Evaluations of the state hospital. This inclues scheduling clients, notifying attorneys and criminal justice personnel of the appointments, and mailing/fax the evaluations to the state hospital and the courts.

-Shares information that assists the clinical team in developing treatment plans that incorporate community release conditions

-Ensures appropriate transitions both in and out of the Justice system, including care coordination and completing documentation within the member's record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27,500.00 - $29,500.00 per year
