From the southern beaches of Florida to the northern woods of Maine, LifeConnections Specialized Support Services provides community based residential, day and behavioral health services to youth, adults & families.
We are currently accepting applications for the following TWO position:
Position Title: 2-1 Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Two Staff, One Client
Location: Manchester, NH
Compensation: $17.00/hour plus a daily gas stipend.
Benefits (Yes/No): Yes
Full Time / Part Time / Per-Diem: Full Time
Total Hours/Week: 40 hrs/wk
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Required Skills: Behavioral experience required. Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required. Must have a clean New Hampshire Driver's License. DSP must get Med and MOAB trained prior to working with client
Client Description:
Client can be aggressive and become escalated easily at times. Client may need to be restrained on occasion. Client has strong OCD behaviors surrounding the use of electronics. Such has his laptop and phone use. Client does well with the use of DBT skills and clear picture. Client does well when kept busy, Client enjoys spending time in the community going for walks at the local parks, hikes swimming. All DSP must be Med and MOAB trained prior to working with client.

What Does a DSP Do?
- Provide supervision and mentoring to clients, including role modeling appropriate behavior, redirection and crisis management
- Teach daily living skills, meal preparation, hygiene practices, recreational & social activities
- Help improve client’s social skills, interpersonal skills, life and coping skills through the development of respectful & positive relationships
- Be a positive role model to help shape growth and build trust
- Be their first line of support to provide emotional stability during moments of crisis

Hiring Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license required & 18+ years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks
- Vehicle insurance (required to transport client in your vehicle)
