Summary:
The primary goal of working in the Ketamine & IV Therapist/Floor Runnerposition is to efficiently and effectively complete Tasks in allotted time slots. Tasks involve cycling patients through treatment sessions (from arrival to discharge), patient calls, medication, and equipment inventory, and completing both opening and closing sequences. The individual in this position will be expected to foster an environment that promotes both physical and mental health for all employees and patients.
Relevare is a new, growing infusion clinic that specializes in ketamine however we also offer other IV infusions including NAD, Vitamin C, and more. Dr. Mallek is the founder and medical director of Relevare and has over 10 years of experience working with ketamine. Ketamine is a groundbreaking treatment that has revolutionized the treatment of mental health disorders (depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD) and is highly effective the in the treatment of chronic pain (CRPS, phantom limb pain). NAD is found in every cell of the body and has powerful anti-aging properties. It has helped boost mood, and energy and improves cognition, and has been used to treat the symptoms of disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Ketamine and NAD in combination are utilized for the treatment of substance abuse and addiction.

As the clinic grows we expect to have more hours available if it is desired. The position is for 16-20 hours per week with expected growth.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Start IVs and monitor the patient’s vital signs as directed by supervising clinician.
- Maintain accurate medical records (EMR)
- Welcome patients, help them fill out electronic paperwork, and guide them through the infusion experience.
- Maintain organized medical and IV supplies including ordering and inventory according to protocol
- Foster an environment that promotes positive mental health for employees and patients.
- Maintain a highly-organized, safe, and clean work area
- Oversees infusion rooms including the re-stocking of treatment areas
- Assists with maintenance and organization of clinical supplies and medications including ordering, storage, and inventory
- Ensures controlled substance policy is followed, including storage, inventory, and wastage
- Takes part in pre and post-infusion phone calls and communicates any problems to the physician
- Answers clinic phone when available and schedules patient appointments.
If RN will have the following additional duties:
- Prepare IV Infusions by clinical protocols and high standards
- Sets up infusion pumps with appropriate units and/or rates for each medication, specific to each patient per protocol
- Safely provide intramuscular injections if prescribed
- Administer approved medications, vitamins, minerals, and fluids intravenously
**If there are < 4 patients per day, you will be expected to help with Patient Acquisition tasks for the clinic. This holds while we are still small and growing. The goal is to have enough patients that acquisition tasks are not a regular event. Acquisition tasks can be varied and should be tailored to the individual’s strengths:
- Marketing materials
- Content Creation
- Blog posts
- Calling therapists/psychiatrists
- Performing luncheon reach outs (more involved and has a commission component)
- Open to project ideas that would contribute to the end goal of patient acquisition.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Efficiency/Time management- Ability to complete tasks within an allotted time slot to help avoid having patients not be left waiting.
- Consistency- Ability to review checklist for daily, weekly, and quarterly tasks that must be completed daily.
- System optimization- Effective communication skills when certain operation procedures could be better optimized.
- Patient acquisition/retention- Ability to retain current patients. They must feel their care is personalized and of the highest quality (safe space, attentive care). Ability to respond to difficult patients/situations with a caring and professional demeanor.
- Scientific literacy- Solid understanding of the pharmacology and physiology of ketamine, NAD, and other therapeutic modalities ( physiologic fundamentals, mental health Therapies). Also able to apply such knowledge to Patient Care, and be committed to ongoing learning.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Colorado Drivers License
- Current Colorado Paramedic, EMT, Anesthesia Tech, or RN license or certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Experience and proficiency in starting IVs.
