FAMILY YOUTH INTERVENTIONS-MACOMB COUNTY RHY PROGRAMS
a program of Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Therapy and limited case management of a maximum of 12 residential clients under normal circumstances, including individual and family therapy, treatment planning and all related paperwork and report requirements.
- Provide supportive (aftercare) counseling to agency families, if applicable, for up to 90 days following residential discharge.
- Assist in handling agency crisis calls, in-person assessments and crisis management situations.
- Attend monthly Business meetings, case consultation meetings and trainings pertinent to skill development.
- Consults with agency staff regarding caseload clients in person and via phone.
HOURS: Part-time, up to 25 hours per week, depending on client count and caseload. Must be available at least 2 evenings during the week OR one weeknight and either Saturday or Sunday. Exact schedule is arranged with the Clinical Coordinator and/or the Director of Runaway and Homeless Programs.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work with a minimum of a Limited License. Minimally one year experience, or an internship, in providing counseling or social work services to youth and families. Proof of a negative TB test, 3 professional references, and must possess a full clearance from both criminal and child abuse/neglect background checks.
