Youth Office Assistant - Los Angeles- Temporary- 5 weeks
Job description
1736 Family Crisis Center offers crisis intervention services, including four 24- hour hotlines, as well as longer-term services in client advocacy and outpatient psychotherapy. The residential counseling and support services include shelter programs for (1) runaway and homeless adolescents, (2) domestic violence and human trafficking victims and their children (emergency and transitional programs (3) Homeless prevention and rapid re-housing services for the general population and Veterans and their families. Community outreach programs are provided to educate the public and prevent mental-health problems in the general population and in targeted groups to at-risk populations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Summer Youth Office Assistant will assist with clerical duties at the Los Angeles Outpatient Clinic. This position is for the duration of up to a 5-week period for the summer.
Under the direction of the Family Source Program Coordinator, the Summer Youth Office Assistant will:
- Copy, fax, distribute mail/faxes
- Maintains/organizes the administrative offices and storage of records
- Assist with data entry as needed
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships with co-workers
- Adheres to agency policies/procedures, and to professional ethics, and good conduct
- Answers phone calls and provides relevant information and referral/information as needed.
- Replenishes resource materials available to clients
- Participates in outreach activities as directed by Family Source Program Coordinator and Senior Management Team.
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the Family Source Program Coordinator and Senior Management Team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent people and organizational skills
- Computer skills and experience
