Scheduling Coordinator - Yakima, WA Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall scheduling & review of the employee(s) daily electronic clock in and clock out operation of Yakima service area. With the ability to be compliance minded with State/Federal Regulations or standards of service, and general quality of service to person(s) served in home care programs. The tasks are highly complex and require negotiation and communication skills & organizational abilities.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises the provision of assistance to person(s) served in order to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being, including that staff interactions with person(s) served promotes the rights of the person(s) served to achieve an enhanced quality of life.
- Ensures that each person served has an activity schedule developed and implemented.
- Monitors and ensures staff completes all daily documentation as required to ensure quality services.
- Maintains a work environment that supports dignity and fair treatment of staff & clients.
- Participates in recruitment and ensures vacancies are filled in a timely manner.
- Ensures that staff are deployed appropriately, and that staffing ratios are in compliance with regulatory and service plan requirements.
- Ensures schedules are prepared and posted in a timely manner, and efficiently utilizes staff. As well as, ensure that the total office authorized hours are maximized and scheduled as authorized daily, weekly & monthly.
- Reviews and provides feedback on all staff documentation, including time and attendance, requests for time off, etc.
- Serves as a positive role model and supports development of staff.
- Provides timely and appropriate feedback and oversight on staff documentation, including daily progress notes, data sheets, and incident reports.
- Responds to emergencies for person(s) served.
- Assists with the review and tracking of incident and accident reports.
- Participates as needed with investigations involving persons served and employees at assigned service areas.
- Ensure that the client & employee (caregiver) schedules are always maintained 30-days in advance.
- Consistently demonstrates adherence to the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments and Compliance Integrity Program and any other organization or departmental materials related to compliance with laws, regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates leadership by performing his/her work in a manner that meets or exceeds the level of care and service that PSMMC promotes to the communities we serve.
- Follows established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection.
- Maintains positive working relationships and fosters a cooperative work environment.
- Communicates effectively with clients, case managers and staff in a professional manner.
- Provides clear, concise, pertinent reports/information.
Specific Requirements
- One year of home care experience, those with previous supervisory experience is a plus. Those with waitstaff or hospitality experience encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience providing services to the elderly and disabled.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours and locations.
- Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information.
- Must meet all agency requirements for pre- employment as required by A.N.S. and/or State regulations.
