AAC is looking for a results-oriented Workforce Planning Manager to join our team.


Position Summary

Responsible for strategic workforce planning for the organization. Develop and implement dynamic workforce action plans to manage resource utilization and mitigate skills gaps and talent risks. Support business initiatives and is viewed as an SME and business partner.


This is a leadership position. The ideal candidate would possess strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills, and have experience advising, guiding, and empowering leaders with effective high-quality data and analysis. The ideal candidate must have experience reporting job utilization and inefficiencies. The ideal candidate must possess proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.

Job Location:
Hauppauge, NY or Lemont Furnace, PA
Remote candidates will be considered
Travel to AAC location may be required to attend meetings and meet with AAC Team Members

Responsibilities:

Primary and Essential Accountabilities

  • Strategic workforce planning- analyze and forecast skills supply & demand and assessing talent gaps.
  • Analyze and report on employee job utilization, efficiency, and assess impact
  • Mitigate talent and resource inefficiencies and minimize idle, unproductive time
  • Manage the company’s strategic labor plan
  • Assess functional value-add, impacts, and identify issues and resource challenges in advance
  • Develop and propose plans to address/resolve resource and utilization challenges
  • Effectively problem-solve, negotiate, and provide guidance to all levels of management
  • Serve as an agent of change for the company
  • Manage and lead projects to move teams forward
  • Effectively manage and handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Responsibilities will also include resource management of roles and responsibilities, resource planning and performance management (direct/indirect labor), new hire planning and performance, etc.
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with internal and external customers
  • Develop a strong understanding of talent needs to support the recruitment of needed skills
  • Continually strengthen business acumen and understand business objectives, metrics, and
  • Communicate and reinforce the mission and values of the organization


Secondary Accountabilities

  • Support recruiting efforts to align with short and long-term business goals, including but not limited to developing job descriptions, screening, recommending, and onboarding.
  • Work closely with Finance to report and analyze resource utilization
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification in Workforce Planning, Change Management, or related areas preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting (up to 10 lbs.): up to 25% of time
