Work Orders Team Lead

Department: Meters

Overview

The Meters Work Order and Completions Team Lead works to educate, unite, and hold accountable the members of the Meters Work Order and Completions team. The team lead will create and develop objectives and processes that align with department and company goals and oversee the writing and competition of our work orders to ensure they are done timely and accurately. They will support the team to ensure all issues are resolved by coordinating with the assistant team lead(s) on the needs of the team, then taking action to meet those needs. The team lead will lead by example and demonstrate initiative and follow-through. This position has a strong influence on improving team members and enhancing current processes. They will be the expert, own the team's results, build relationships with team members, other meters teams, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor team member's portfolios
• Lead one-on-ones and team meetings
• Review team member's work and give quality feedback
• Speak up and take initiative
• Answer team member's questions and follow up as necessary
• Develop team members in their role and prepare them for future roles within our company
• Report issues and results to leaders and team members
• Effectively delegate work
• Stay composed and positive during stressful situations
• Create and innovate processes
• Identify inefficient processes and find and implement innovative solutions
• Manage time and multiple projects to meet deadlines
• Communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing
• Initiate and oversee short- and long-term projects
• Coordinate with Accounting on invoice issues
• Coordinate with both inhouse and sub-contractors on field reporting and field feedback to those writing work orders
• Act as the gatekeeper for incoming work orders to ensure the work orders we're writing are needed and troubleshooting has been completed

Qualifications

• Supervisor experience is preferred
• Knowledge of sub-metering industry is preferred, but not required
• Experience with direct client interaction
• Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Drive, and Conservice software
• Proven attention to detail
