We are currently hiring for:

• Full Time, 80 Hours Biweekly, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, health/physical education, or a combination of the aforementioned areas of study and experience.
• Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary certification (CPR) or certification within ninety (90) days of employment.
• Current Red Cross Life Guard certification or Luthercare approved equivalent Life Guard certification; or willingness to attain certification within ninety (90) days of employment.
• Knowledge of the social and physiological problems of aging.
• Proficiency in swimming.
• Group exercise instruction.

What you do:

• Provide supervision and assistance to the residents and employees while using the pool, spa and fitness room.
• Perform lifesaving functions if necessary.
• Develop and implement exercise classes for both land and pool.
• Assist with teaching/instruction both land and water based classes.
• Assist the manager with the processing of new members; to include scheduling functional fitness evaluations, first workouts, orientations and proper filing of paperwork.
• Work one on one with members that are in the center, write safe and effective exercise programs, assist with fitness evaluations, and revisions of programs.
• Assist with development and implementation of employee wellness programs and activities.
• Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of the pool, spa and pool area and fitness room.
• Assist with daily operations including basic cleaning and record keeping.
• Compile and present information on relevant health and wellness topics for bulletin boards, handouts and educational presentations.
• Attend and participates in staff meetings, projects, special events, and committees as required. Completes mandatory training and competencies as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
