The Position

The successful candidate will be a morning person, outgoing, friendly, detail oriented, dependable and on time every day. We are looking for individuals with high energy, enthusiasm and "hospitality personality plus". Job Summary

A Breakfast Host prepares and serves both hot and cold breakfast items. They keep the breakfast area, kitchen and storage areas well-stocked, neat clean, and orderly. They consistently provide guests with an enjoyable breakfast experience, and play an important role in our home-away-from-home experience for each of our guests every day.

Hours and Pay

The Breakfast Hosts' day begins at 5:00 a.m. Daily. The starting pay is $16.00 per hour. Additional hours and cross-training may be available based on performance.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Acknowledges and greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting
• Engages with guests
• Performs tasks in a thorough and thoughtful manner
• Maintains proper standards of sanitation and physical appearance of the breakfast and kitchen areas
• Prepares hot and cold items according to standards
• Stocks all service areas with proper equipment and food items
• Interacts with hotel guests to insure their needs are met
• Keeps all tables and breakfast area clean throughout shift
• Empties waste baskets throughout shift
• Breaks down the breakfast buffet area and disposes of food items properly
• Inventory breakfast items
• Put away stock and supplies as needed
• Completes required prep work for the next shift
• Cleans and mops the kitchen/breakfast area returning all unused items to their appropriate places
• Accommodates special requests
• Answers questions, and ensure our guests have a pleasant and smooth stay
• Notifies the Maintenance Department of repairs needed
• Some lifting, bending and reaching is required
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform and nametag
• Attention to detail
• Ability to stand, stoop. walk or bend for majority of shift
• Ability to multi task and work well under pressure
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate in a polite and professional manner
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Prior to an offer of employment, the successful completion of a background check will be required
