** WCG's Minimum Wage for 2023 is $16.00 per hour**

IMPORTANT - All WCG Applicants wanting to complete an application for the 2023 Cherry season to come in to obtain an application for DAY and NIGHT shifts and return it to either our Wenatchee or Peshastin Plant for consideration of hire.

~ Cherry Line Workers (see job description below) Day shift-$16.00 per hour/Nights- $17.60
~ General Labor Day shift-$16.00 per hour/Nights- $17.60
~ Segregators Day shift-$16.00 per hour/Nights- $17.60
~ Quality Control ( requires computer skills and math reasoning) Day shift-$16.00 per hour/Nights- $17.60
~ Graveyard Sanitation / Nights- $18.89
~ Forklift drivers
~ Stampers Day shift-$16.00 per hour/Nights- $17.60
~ Quality Control Receiving (outside - requires computer skills and math reasoning) Day shift-$16.00 per hour/Nights- $17.60
~ Data Entry / Office work - (requires computer experience, customer service skills, multi-tasking and confidentiality requirements) Day shift-$16.00 per hour/Nights- $17.60
Wage could varies based on job requirements and experience.
Work Schedule -Employment could start at the in June and run until approximately the early/mid-August

Job Summary for Cherry Line Works:
Various hand labor positions throughout the line and warehouse including but not limited to; Filling, bagging, and sorting cherries. This includes labeling and stickering. Box making, stacking, transporting, placing lids, genral labor or lining boxes. Supply making, stocking, transporting, and organization of supplies.
Essential Functions of the job:
Must be able to stand on concrete floor for 8 to 10 hours per shift.
Ability to do highly repetitive physical work, paying attention to detail.
Knowledge of fruit grades and sizes desirable.
Must have ability to lift 25-pound box waist high.
Must be able to count and learn box alignments.
Must be able to learn quickly and keep up with production procedures.
Must have the ability to work as a team, cooperate and communicate well with fellow workers.
Must be able to communicate and follow direction given by supervisors.
Must be on the job, ready to go to work daily by specified time required by supervisor.
Must be able to maintain good attendance records required by designated assigned shift supervisor.
Must have flexible scheduling and the ability to work weekends during annual cherry harvest period, as overtime may be required during peak periods.
Must abide by all company personnel, safety and food safety policies.
Must be able to work in an cold environment that has a small amount of dust, fumes and chemicals in the air.
Ability to keep work area clean and organized
Physical Requirements:
Constant standing, use of both hands, repeatedly hand movement with the packaging equipment
Constant reaching below shoulder height to grab packing material, transferring final product , Constant lifting up to 25 pounds
Infrequent twisting and bending at waist when leaning/reaching-varies according to variety and quality of final product.
Seldom to occasional walking and climbing stairs to and from assigned workstation. The exact number of stairs that are required to be climbed varies according to the assigned workstation. Senses: Hearing, sight (near, far, color). Must be able to be in cold, wet/damp environment, wet floors, and moving belts.
The incumbent is required to stand and walk around work sites, and it is felt that the job responsibilities could not be met by people with severe restriction to their mobility. Moreover, given the accent on the communication process, it is felt that it would be extremely difficult to meet the job requirements with severe limitations in eyesight, hearing or speech.

All Cherry line workers will be required Personal protective equipment” (hereinafter “PPE”) means face coverings, masks, respirators, gloves, and any other equipment meant to protect against hazards, including chemicals and COVID-19 if required.
Hazards encountered in work environment include forklift traffic, wet/damp environment, wet floors, and moving belts. Attention to keeping foreign objects off belts is required, Fruit dispenser.
