Fabric company with warehouse operations in Moonachie, NJ looking for a FT warehouse worker. Position is eligible for benefits after 90 day probationary period. Salary based on experience. Position reports to the warehouse manager. Specific job responsibilites include, but are not limited to:

-Prepares orders by processing domestic and/or international requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. Update ship date and add BOL in inventory/sales system

-Operate powered industrial forklift to transport fabric, unload incoming shipments and loading outgoing shipments

- For new shipments transport inventory for stock put away in pallet and stored full cartons of fabric in bins. Keep proper record of these with cartons labeled and pallet location # assigned; update pallet number in inventory/sales system

- Replenish stock materials with proper labels and documented location

- Full inventory control and movement with proper record keeping for new items, closeouts, and regular stock

- Keep inventory of other supplies (tape, tubes, cleaning supplies, gas tank for trucks)

- Receive, inspect and update inventory/sales system for returned goods/shipments

- Assist with annual inventory count and periodic inventory cycle counts

- Perform other tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to, assisting with mailings, making stock cards, preparing, and sending show cuts with inventory from request sheet(s) for cuts from sales team, suppliers and/or customers

- Maintain U.S. postage machine balance in order be prepared for all mailings, etc.

- Record keeping of pack and hold shipments, assign location, identify with paperwork

- Maintains forklift by completing preventive maintenance requirements, arranging for repairs

- Maintains quality service by following organization standards

- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

- Contributes to team effort by assisting coworkers with all the daily warehouse tasks

Minimum Basic Requirements:

Must be able to communicate in English, be able to pass a basic computer literacy test and certified to operate a forklift. Must have valid U.S. drivers’ license, means of transportation and verifiable work experience. All offers will be contingent upon a background check.
