Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose: Warehouse Supervisors will ensure that all warehouse staff and activities are carried out safely and efficiently. Supervisors also guide deliveries of merchandise and appliances to customers by coaching and coordinating a group of independent contractor carriers in a warehouse environment.

Duties:

*Maintains and motivates a roster of high performing warehouse staff.

*Directs warehouse staff and coordinates receiving of all material, items, and products; making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per Company standards and policies.

*Accomplishes objectives by educating, coaching, and counseling independent contractor carriers; communicating expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.

*Meets shipping operational standards by contributing shipping information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying shipping system improvements.

*Meets financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.

*Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Skills/Qualifications:

Ready to make a difference, bilingual with Spanish highly preferred, excellent computer skills with experiencing using Excel, great communication skills, hands-on approach, comfortable motivating and supervising others, high energy level, deadline-oriented, dependability, persistence, ability to operate in strict time frames, customer focus, independence, safety management, reporting skills, scheduling, and able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

Bachelors’ Degree and 2-3 years in the logistics/supply chain field preferred.

Salary: $50,000 -60,000/year, DOE; plus benefits and potential for bonus
