Essential Functions:

Beyond managing and mentoring a team of up to 30 individuals and developing an efficient warehouse flow, this role will also include:

• Building and delivering productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other managers to balance labor.
• Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using LEAN tools to support customers.
• Forecast peak delivery periods and issues appropriate work assignments.
• Evaluating performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound, order processing or outbound productivity requirements, to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations.
• Communicating and developing relationships with customers, dispatchers, and contractors on a consistent basis to ensure quality of service.
• Manage all spending within the planned budget. This includes “direct” expenses (Labor Efficiency, Inventory Waste, etc.) and “indirect” expenses (Supplies, utilities, leases, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

• Understanding of warehousing operations with more than 5-years of experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment
• WMS implementation and management (Experience with Sage 100 and Korber a plus)
• Ability to see through ambiguity and bring clear, concise, direct communication to your team
• You see value in long-term thinking and large-scale impact to a company.
• You enjoy working with numbers and using data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions. Data is what you look to when given a problem to solve.
