Masis Staffing is seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate for a local Seafood Distributor in Portland, Me. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with weekly pay.

1st Shift – Monday – Friday – 7 am – 4:30 pm - $24.00 – $25.00/hour DOE!!!

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking products from the Fresh and Frozen Finished Goods Inventories and Freezer Inventories and packing orders for shipment to customers. May be required to load and unload trucks. May be assigned inventory control duties. The Warehouse Associate also maintains the packing room, shipping/receiving area, and the shipping floor area in clean, always organized and 5S condition. Must have strong attention to detail, ability to work in a cold environment, computer skills, and a positive, professional attitude. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring plant and product security and the food safety of all stored products. This position inspects all incoming and outgoing products according to standards set by the QC department and documents assigned quality, food safety and critical control point measures. They monitor the temperatures of the coolers and the freezer and ensure that all products are properly stored and kept frozen, chilled and/or iced as appropriate. The warehouse crew backs up each other as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Requirements

1. Picking finished goods and pack orders.

2. Entering movement of product into the computer system.

3. Storing all products in the appropriate storage areas and containers.

4. Operating mechanical lifts as required.

5. Maintaining site and freezer safety and security procedures.

6. Assisting other warehouse team members as needed in duties such as preparation of orders for shipment, interacting with supplier and customer representatives delivering or picking-up products and preparation and verification of shipping documents on the computer system.
