East Central Energy is looking to add a Warehouse Assistant Worker to our team. Do you enjoy building relationships with coworkers and vendors? Are you organized and detail-oriented? This might be the perfect job for you!

A day in the life

• Assemble orders from stock, and secure loads for transportation to outpost locations.

• Monitor levels of scrap hardware and wire at each location to ensure adequate delivery cycles.

• Place material in designated areas at each location to maintain a clean and efficient warehouse.

• Assist the Warehouse Worker in maintaining warehouses and pole yards in each location.

• Pick up out of service transformers at all ECE locations for proper testing.

• Dispose of loose garbage and packing material in pole yard.

• Notify the Purchasing Supervisor when dumpsters need emptying.

Requirements

• High school diploma.

• Knowledge of electric or broadband distribution system.

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Forklift Certificate

Specialized knowledge

• Understand product lines and Rural Utilities Service (RUS) specifications to obtain approved materials for the cooperative.

• Apply proper load tie-down techniques to ensure safe transportation of material.

• Use computer software to properly track inventory.

Skills/abilities

• Perform moderately complex mathematical computations.

• Understand cooperative material management policies and guidelines.

• Maintain composure in stressful situations.

The starting pay rate is $44.29 per hour non-exempt for a fully qualified candidate according to the union contract. This is an onsite position at our Braham, MN Operations building working the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
