Project Overview

The Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) will safely destroy 2,611 tons of mustard agent in mortar rounds and artillery projectiles stored at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot (PCD) approximately 25 miles from Pueblo, Colorado. Neutralization followed by biotreatment is the technology selected by the Department of Defense to destroy the Pueblo chemical weapons stockpile. The PCAPP plant began the operations and munition destruction phase as of September 2016.


Candidates for unescorted access to the Chemical Limited Area must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be physically fit and able to work safely at an operating plant. Eligible applicants must be a US Citizen and successfully go through a government screening process. Based on project goals and objectives, candidates established within our local community are desirable.


Position Summary

The Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) is looking for a Warehouse Assistant at the Pueblo, CO location. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager at the PCAPP project, and receives operational direction from the Warehouse Lead, or designated personnel. Performs functions of project site materials management, including, kick & count, receipt, storage and issue of project materials, consumables, and equipment; documentation and data entry, site equipment and facilities rentals, and material control in the warehouse, lay down yards, and jobsite locations.


This PCAPP position falls under the scope of the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act of 1965 (SCA). The SCA requires PCAPP to provide employees with benefits and wages no less than the amounts the Department of Labor has established for the location and classification in which the employee will be working.


This is a long-term assignment, DuPont rotating 12-hour day and night shifts based working schedule. (12 hours per day).


Responsibilities

  • Reports to and receives operational direction from the Warehouse Manager, or Supervisor.
  • Maintains direct working relationship with Project Procurement, Field Project Controls, discipline Field Engineers, Field Procurement, Automation Support, Construction Superintendents, (Sub) Contractors, and site Customer personnel to ensure that Construction personnel are provided with materials to support the completion of construction work.
  • Performs kick and count and inspection of arriving material at satellite warehouse location, ensures receipt documentation is recorded in Maximo, stores material in the warehouse and lay down yards in accordance with site instructions.
  • Issues materials from warehouse and lay down yards to site operations with proper control and documents in accordance with project procedures.
  • Ensure that project approved marking and identification procedures are followed for all materials, tools, and equipment received at the warehouse and lay down yards.
  • Takes part in the disposition of surplus project materials as approved by project management and directed by Property supervision.
  • Reviews preparation of shipping documents and registers for materials shipped from temporary operating and jobsite locations.
  • Ensures that control registers are prepared and maintained for industrial gas bottles and returnable reels and containers.
  • Requires operating forklifts, vehicles, and other material handling equipment for storage, retrieval, loading, and unloading of project materials, tools, and equipment.


Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Must have the right to work and remain in the U.S. without Sponsorship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any security clearances required for this position according to Army Regulation 50-6 (Chemical Surety). *


Minimum Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of material storage and handling, documentation, and inventory control practices.
  • Experience and working knowledge of the Hazardous material management system ( HMMS ).
  • General knowledge of construction and operations equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs., including bulky items. Utilize mechanical equipment or team member for weights above 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of BPS ( Bechtel Procurement System ) or standard industry supply chain automation systems
  • Knowledge of Maximo Enterprise System
  • Knowledge of ToolHound or standard industry tool inventory control systems
  • This project is subject to the Army Regulations (AR50-6 Chemical Surety) which governs persons performing work under the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (CPRP) and Unescorted Access Program (UAP). Depending on the work performed and the access granted a government security investigation and other physical requirements such as respirators may be mandated. Eligibility to be placed in a CPRP or UAP position requires US citizenship.
