Recruiting and Retention Bonus
Family Tree is offering a $300 hiring bonus paid on the first paycheck after hired. In addition, Family
Tree is offering a retention bonus of $500 after 12 months of employment and $700 after 18months
of employment.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to provide the strategic leadership for all programmatic and operational
aspects of Family Tree’s Housing and Employment Services (including the Homelessness Program with
Permanent Supportive Housing, Rapid Re-Housing, Homelessness Prevention, and Connections
programs, as well as the Employment and Education Services Program),ensuring alignment with Family
Tree’s mission, vision, values and overall strategies.
Example Activities

  • Provide leadership, general program administration, management and budgetary oversight over all
the Housing and Employment Services programs, including program design, development,
monitoring, identification and adherence to program impact/outcomes, and protocol/policy
development.
  • Design, implement and manage a budgetary plan (revenues and expenses) to adequately support
the programs’ annual financial operating needs. This includes:

1. Provide general administrative, management and budgetary oversight for the Housing
and Employment Services programs and all individual program functions.
2. Provide lead problem resolution when new restricted program funds are required.
3. Prepare budgets of related revenues and expenses for approved projects and program
activities.
4. Collaborate on all grant proposals for Housing and Employment Services operating or
program activities, from proposal inception to submission.
5. Cultivate funding relationships that permit the programs to actively and adequately
develop revenue streams to support operations.



  • Develop outcome/impact measures, program objectives, procedures, and standards for Housing

and Employment Services programs. Set annual services goals and evaluate results. This
includes working with executive leaders and program directors to ensure strong budgetary,
administrative and fiscal management, grant identification, management and compliance, and
funder cultivation.

  • Responsible for programmatic oversight and administration of approximately 15 Federal, State and
Local grants totaling over $4.1 Million Dollars.
  • Oversees compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements, including but not limited to
HUD, DOLA, CSBG, CDBG, ESG and TANF program requirements
  • Develop, review and refine operating procedures for Housing and Employment Services programs
and ensure the teams implement these procedures.
  • Implement, or maintain, best practice service provision models for Housing and Employment
Services programs. Presents trainings to agencies that provide services to domestic violence
victims, including in-services for staff at Roots of Courage, PorchLight Family Justice Center and
outside community agencies.
  • Work with program directors/supervisors to ensure adherence to Family Tree policies and
procedures related to recruitment, selection, training, supervision, evaluation, and termination of
paid team members.
  • Ensures facility and building safety issues are addressed; client files/documentation are
maintained; all statistical, metric and outcome reports are completed in an accurate and timely
manner; grant and funder billing and services reports are completed in an accurate and timely
manner, for the Housing and Employment Services programs
  • Ensure Housing and Employment Services team members adhere to the policies, procedures,
goals, objectives and values of Family Tree.
  • Ensure diligent oversight of all volunteer recruitment and retention activities.

Required Skills
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience; substantial experience supervising and

leading diverse teams required.
  • Experience and/or exposure to not-for-profit program development, with strong preference given

to experience and expertise in the areas of child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and
homelessness.

  • Experience with diverse funding streams, including private sources and federal, state and local
government contracts and grants (knowledge of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development funding and systems strongly preferred). Skilled in grant writing and reporting.
  • Must be a collaborative team player with effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently identify, set, and execute on priority responsibilities, including coordinating
multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite and general database skills.



Preferred Education and Experience

5-10 years of relevant leadership experience. Bachelor’s in human services or comparable degree
preferred; Master’s in social work or comparable degree preferred. Comparable work and life
experience will be strongly considered.

Salary: $86,823-$97,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of Family Tree’s hiring range for this
position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to range of
experience, years of experience. The range listed is just one component of Family Tree’s total
compensation package for employees.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel around the Denver Metro area to attend off-site meetings.
Schedule: Flexible schedule working primarily Monday-Friday and may include some evening hours.
Working Conditions: This is a blended/hybrid remote/virtual and in-office work arrangement.
