We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, outgoing, and dynamic global logistics and distribution leader to become our VP, Global Distribution and Logistics, developing, leading and implementing global best practices and helping to evolve our global distribution network, which serves both wholesale retailers and direct-to-consumer ("DTC") e-commerce customers. In this role, you will be a key member of our Operations team based in Los Angeles, CA or Scottsdale, AZ, but with regular domestic and international travel (Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America, etc.). About the Job:
- Drive predictable productivity & business results while also ensuring efficient and effective operations of our wholesale and e-commerce warehouses, expanding e-commerce footprint and transportation partners.
- Own setting the standards and delivering overall business performance to optimize Fender's logistics, wholesale retail, e-commerce and distribution strategy.
- Work closely with our supply chain planning and manufacturing teams to ensure all "make and buy" products are transported efficiently and cost-effectively from our manufacturing plants and OEM suppliers.
- Provide strong leadership and specific direction to the global Operations team in the execution of top-level strategies, improvement priorities and the predictable delivery of other KPIs
- Ensure that business is conducted at all times with the highest standards of quality, integrity and efficiency
- Additional duties as assigned
What you need:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Global Distribution, Transportation, and Logistics, with a strong track record in leading CPG, consumer product, or leisure product companies. Candidates without consumer experience will not be considered.
- Substantial experience developing global logistics/distribution for both wholesale retail and DTC e-commerce businesses.
- Substantial experience in inventory control, logistics, ocean/ground transportation and distribution management within a global organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a critical thinker who can work through complex business issues and make decisions quickly.
- Experienced working with SAP and best-of-class logistics and warehouse management systems such as Manhattan Associates or RedPrairie.
- Demonstrated and effective partnership skills with logistic and warehouse 3PLs in the US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
- Strong contract negotiation skills, persuasive techniques and ability to control costs
- Excellent organizational skills, teamwork, leadership development, lean/problem solving and communication capabilities.
- Articulate communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively, cross-functionally in a global, matrixed business structure.
- Strong business acumen with both strategic skills and the ability to implement and execute.
- Highly collaborative and proactively engages colleagues from all relevant functions
- Extensive experience in logistics process design and implementation.
- Possessing both a results orientation and tireless work ethic—determined to meet and exceed targets and drive accountability throughout the Operations organization.
- Working knowledge of order, material, process, and transaction flow throughout the manufacturing and global logistics/distribution cycle.
- Competency in Productivity and Project Management Software applications including MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, etc.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar; an advanced degree such as an MBA is preferred.

Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $148,800-$297,600 per year.
