Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospitals (TVRH) provide 24-hour emergency service and specialty referrals in surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, neurology, radiology and pain and rehabilitation. TVRH is looking for team members who want to utilize their skills to the fullest potential in a fun, fast paced, and stimulating environment.
Job Summary
The Radiology Veterinary Technician Assistant is a medical support team member of the radiology department. This position is responsible for assisting the radiology technicians and doctors so that they can complete their daily tasks in a more timely and efficient manner. In conjunction with patient care this role is also responsible for patient handling and the routine cleaning of the hospital ensuring that proper infectious disease protocols are followed.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure adequate stocking of radiology supplies
- Understand and properly shave and prepare patients who are having radiological procedures
- Properly restrain patients for procedures
- Assist in positioning and acquisition of patient radiographs
- Proactively assist team members when needed throughout the hospital
- Perform basic Cornerstone tasks such as entering patient vitals and completing patient treatments in Instinct
- Add items to the want list as supplies are needed
- Complete service’s daily and weekly cleaning task lists
- Assist RVTs and VMAs to intake radiology patients
