Currently we are selecting candidates for an experienced veterinary assistant and Licensed Technicians. We are accepting applicants for part time and full time. LVT students are encouraged to apply.

Under the supervision of a doctor the veterinary assistant participates in:

• Multi-task effectively and good attention to details.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling.
• Exceptional customer service & education.
• Collect & prepare laboratory samples.
• Help maintain a clean efficient & healthy environment for animals being treated at BVH.
• Positive attitude & team player personality.
• Obtain accurate vital signs on patients.
• Ability to execute treatment orders as directed by DVM
• Assist with in-house x-ray and laboratory procedures.
• Care & maintenance of all medical equipment that are essential to daily operations.
• Document appropriately in medical records.
• Deliver high quality medical care to our patients under direct supervision.
• The ability to safely lift 35lbs.
• To be able to walk dogs on a leash.
• Work a flexible schedule and commute during inclement weather.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour

• Troutville, VA 24175: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
