The Adirondack North Country Sports Council is the organizing committee for the upcoming FISU World University Winter Games in beautiful Lake Placid during January 2023! We also organize various multi-sport events in the local area. It is an exciting time to join our TEAM!

Job Description:
The Venue Workforce Manager will be responsible for all workforce information at a given competition venue. The Venue Workforce Manager role will include, but is not limited to, being the liaison between the venue manager and workforce, oversee the workforce lounge, act as the point of contact for the workforce lounge volunteers, oversee any uniform distribution needed in conjunction with the uniform distribution manager, oversee the food and beverage schedule and delivery (this has been planned, just needs to be managed during the Games), and be the venue point of contact for the volunteer manager, volunteer coordinator, and the Head of Workforce.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Ability to work enthusiastically under pressure
- 1 - 2 years related experience
- Detail-oriented, organized and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic and driven to learn
- Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
- Team player with the ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all levels of staff and partners as applicable
- Embracing cultural sensitivity in each interaction with participants regardless of religion, country of origin, race, ethnic background or gender identity.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong customer service background with ability to demonstrate professionalism while dealing with a diverse customer base in a ticketing or merchandising role in a games related organization.
Educational and/or Training requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven and/or unmaintained terrain in all kinds of weather conditions, and comfortable working inside and outside for extended periods of time in preparation for the Games and during the Games.
- Able to lift 40 pounds throughout a shift
