The position of Vendor/ContractAcquisition Manager will be responsible for the analyzation, negotiation, and implementation of all I.C. and vender contracts. This role requires an individual that can lead and support a team of associates within the Vendor/Contract Acquisition Department.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead all independent contractor rate negotiations and contracting. Ensure proper disclosure of customer contractual requirements.
  • Manage and assist Vendor/Contract Acquisition Associates with regularly performed independent contractor market, route, and rate assessments.
  • Advise all levels of management on contractual rights, obligations, risk avoidance, mitigation, and strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a constant pipeline of new vendors/contractors for existing market coverage and future market expansion opportunities.
  • Develop solutions to moderately complex issues that require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Operate and practice with a professional level of discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and customer requirements.
  • As a department manager, support in the achievement of company financial goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years' experience developing, negotiating, and executing agreements with contractors and venders, preferably within the transportation industry, but not mandatory.
  • This position requires a keen sense of urgency while promoting a willingness to lead and encourage staff development. This position will emphasize honesty and integrity within the department.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The professionalism and capability to perform with a significant amount of autonomy and exercise good judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
  • The ability to provide 'Contracts' guidance, technical and operational leadership for our other corporate management teams.
