Bellman/Valet

To assist guest’s requests for valeting vehicles, providing luggage assistance, and to be knowledgeable of the Hotel activities and events in a five star manner. Part of the Overnight Guest Services Agent position also includes parking vehicles safely, attend to guest needs, including but not limited to, guest registration, check-out and cashiering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Greeting arriving guests and retrieving their luggage.
* Open hotel main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property.
* Escorting guests to their rooms, explaining the room facilities.
* Deliver luggage, messages, packages to guests and to undertake various other requests in order to ensure their comfort.
* Transport departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby, ensuring that the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for.
* Assist with keeping lobby area clean and orderly.
* Ensure that luggage has been stored safely according to prescribed procedures.
* Be fully aware of what functions are going on in the hotel.
* Provide gracious, attentive, and friendly service other duties as required.

Valet Duties and Responsibilities

* Open hotel main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property.
* Assist guests with opening/closing vehicle doors.
* Welcome guests and visitors with appropriate greetings of the day.
* Able to communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors.
* Tag guest vehicle keys with date & time, make/model and guest name.
* Able to effectively park and retrieve guests cars without causing damage to the vehicle.
* Able to provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, hours of operation.
* Able to provide guests with direction and local areas of interest and activities.
* Ensure vehicles are legally parked and to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of traffic.
* Ensure all guest's valet experience are memorable, unique and as per the hotel's standards.
* Document and report all vehicle incidents like damages, accidents, theft, missing articles etc.
* Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor or manager.
* Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, behind the valet stand.

* Responsible to report any security or safety problems, safety hazards and potential security problems to the supervisors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

6 months minimum requirement in a similar job. Working hours may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Normal work schedules may vary based on business needs. Position requires availability for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. Position may require overtime.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
