Utility III - Finishing - 3rd Shift Responsibilities: - Document equipment issues, changes and follow ups that occur during the scheduled shift on the Daily Shift Report - Troubleshoot all Utilities equipment in the control room area, the Staple area and the Specialty Polymers tank park area (refrigeration units, strainers, pumps, automatic valves, wash water column, N2, AC's, dryers, etc.) - Lock out and tag out equipment in the Control Room, Staple, BCF and Specialty Polymers tank park areas - Complete line break permits, work permits and flame permits as needed - Complete golf cart inspection sheet prior to use - Complete PIT inspection sheet prior to use - Respond to alarms in Control Room area and dispatch Field Operator to site alarms and carry out necessary actions to resolve issues - Adjust wash water operating parameters and change wash water filters to ensure continuous effective processing and meet customer specifications - Maintain chemical tank levels (check every 6 hours) - Monitor and maintain sump levels in the tank park - Take samples to the lab - Perform confined space entries as required - Adheres to all lock out/tag out procedures - Uses hand tools properly and safely - Operate WWTP in accordance with the current NPDES guidelines and parameters - Maintain records for DHEC - Maintain log book in the lab and perform an effective shift break - Troubleshoot all equipment in the Wastewater Treatment plant - Complete Chain of Custody thoroughly and accurately - Actively participates in the Shift Safety committee process - Complies with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy - Complies with Shaw Management System (SMS) procedures - Complies with S.A.F.E. System procedures - Works normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. - Works overtime as required Requirements: - Must have an active Class B Biological Wastewater Treatment Operator License - Must have a high school education or its equivalent - Must have the ability to enter data into a computer database - Must successfully complete Lift Truck Operator certification - Must successfully pass the certification exam for Smoke Opacity Reader - Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as required - Must be able to ascend and descend stairs/ladders as required during a twelve (12) hour shift - Must possess good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills - Must perform any other job duties as assigned by supervision - Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as required 12 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
