Experienced Used Car Buyer

We are a high-volume dealership with 5 locations and growing consumer demand. We are looking for experienced used car buyers that can start as soon as possible and grow with us and meet the increase in demand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As our used car buyer, you will source used-vehicle inventory through various auctions, private parties, and trade networks. This position requires working well in a fast-paced environment and being an effective decisionmaker and communicator.

• Source used car inventory.
• Understand and estimate reconditioning and transportation costs.
• Make financially sound purchasing decisions.
• Research and analyze vehicle inventory and market trends utilizing state of the art technology and comprehensive market data sources.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of purchasing experience.
• Deep used automotive knowledge.
• Used car sales experience is required.
• Automotive auction experience online and in lane is a must.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong understanding of price/cost analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to identify, quantify and effectively leverage data to support business decisions.
• Excellent valuation skills, with a strong process orientation.
• Solid understanding of the retail and wholesale automobile sales processes.
• Have a learner mindset for continual development.
• Ability to work independently.
• You must be able to communicate effectively amongst your team.
• Excellent PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
