Job Summary:
Come join our growing team, underwriting E&S Homeowners business countrywide! Seeking an experienced underwriter who enjoys providing creative solutions for our partners, embraces technology and is constantly thinking of a better way to do things. The ideal applicant works well in a team-oriented environment, is able to deliver top tier customer service and brings a sense of humor into work with them each day. Our organization is focused on providing growth opportunities to its staff through constant and quality underwriting training, offering funding and incentives for continuing education designations, and creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone to bring their true selves to work. In this role, an underwriter is expected to handle daily referrals for hard-to-place homeowners risks as well as manage relationships with our wholesale partners at a high level. Some travel is required for both training and agency visits.
- Underwrite a growing portfolio of personal lines products within established authority
- Issue referral quotes within established authority
- Provide service related tasks following guidelines and authority to ensure a profitable book
- Manage assigned partners to ensure profitable growth.
- Elevate system and/or accounting related issues and advocate on behalf of partner
- Triage agency referral and requests and distribute to appropriate UW level
Requirements:
- 2+ years property underwriting experience (homeowners and/or surplus lines preferred)
- Ability to work on central time zone schedule
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Office 365
- Experience in agency relationship management (wholesale preferred)
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The salary range for this position is $55k-75k with a 35% bonus potential.
