Job description

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients as ordered by Physicians.

This is a part time, benefits eligible position!

This includes:

• Performing ultrasound procedures following the SPUH ultrasound scanning protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients.

• Preparing patient for ultrasound procedure- this includes proper clothing, educating patient and family - if pediatric patient ease fears.

• Assisting Radiologist to obtain a diagnosis

• Determining when a patient should be held until their physician is contacted with results of the procedure

• Accurately recording a complete technologist 'note' to include all pertinent information concerning the exam/procedure.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved school of medical ultrasound technology.

• Requires national registry in ultrasound (RDMS)

• Requires communication skills sufficient for effective communication with patients, physicians and staff.

• BLS Certified.

Grade 122

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• New Brunswick, NJ 08901: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)
• RDMS (Required)
