Job description
An academic tutor will be asked and expected to tutor studentathletes in various courses. All tutoring will take place in the McClendon Center for Intercollegiate Athletics and will range based on studentathlete need and tutor availability. Tutoring sessions will include 1 3 studentathletes and are expected to last 45 minutes.

Skills:

Must have earned a B or higher in the specific course or have been award a degree in that area

Must be capable of tutoring the courses specified

Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate course material while engaging with our studentathletes in a positive manner

Must be willing and able to communicate and build relationships with a diverse group of students

Must be willing and able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations

Must be willing and able to adhere to standards of conduct for Athletics Academics Tutorial Staff
Preferences:
- Experience working as a tutor for undergraduate or graduate students
- Experience working with a diverse group of students
- Working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations

- Must be able to communicate verbally, hear, and see including color, depth perception and clarity
