The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for Truck Helper for the Kentucky - Tennessee Territory, located in, Hopkinsville, KY.

Job Summary
Assists in picking up donations by riding in a Salvation Army rental truck and lifting, carrying, and/or hauling donations into the truck and unloading the same at the store; assists in navigating for the Truck Driver; ensures the accountability, security and safety of the donations when in route; assist store customers in donation, selecting and purchasing store items; responds to customers questions; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays; ensures the security of store items.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers. Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Knowledge of the principles and practices of basic mathematics
Education and Experience
High School Diplomas or G.E.D. required. and 6 months experience working in a retail store/ warehouse preferred, Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push pull heavy (50lbs – 100plus lbs.).) materials supplies, and equipment. heavy mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.
