Job description
Provides non clinical support to all nursing units, ancillary areas, and administrative areas. This support includes but not limited to internal and/or external transportation of patients, distribution of patient supplies and equipment, performs courier type functions and assist with the distribution of mail.
Responsibilities:- Transport patients from one area of the hospital to another and distributes supplies and equipment.
- Transport adult and geriatric patients to and from outpatient clinic.
- Provide basic supervision to patients and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
- Perform tasks to support the delivery of care by actively participating as an interdisciplinary care team member.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Prefer a minimum of six (6) months experience in patient transport.
- Must have experience operating a computer.
- Requires general computer skills capable of utilizing health system's software programs.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru retraining for duration of employment.
- Valid OK driver's license.
- A minimum of two years of driving experience required.
Compensation/Benefits
- $12.70-$20.75/hr depending on previous work experience.
