The Wolfe University Center is currently seeking a Temporary Custodial Worker to join their team of professionals. Duties include:

• Performs a full range of housekeeping and maintenance duties in addition to caring for classrooms, restrooms, offices, showers, workshops and facilities related to events.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, polishes, strips, seals and buffs floors; vacuums and shampoos rugs and carpets.
• Dusts, polishes, and cleans all furniture, woodwork, and white boards.
• Washes doors, stairways, windows, walls, ceilings, blinds, furniture, light fixtures, and drinking fountains.
• Empties, cleans and lines waste receptacles and disposes of trash and/or recycle materials; picks up trash in adjacent ground areas.
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms and locker rooms including floors, walls, fixtures, and mirrors. Restocks supplies as necessary.
• Assists in keeping outside of the building clean.
• Handles cleaning supplies and chemical substances in the performance of duties.
• Moves furniture and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Sets up event spaces according to client requests; cleans and returns room to original configurations.
• Operates building's portable equipment with supervision.
• Delivers supplies, runs errands as necessary.
• Assists with minor nontechnical repairs to buildings and fixtures including the replacement of light bulbs.
• Reports the need for maintenance and repair and assists in making minor repairs as needed.
• Performs general emergency maintenance duties including hurricane protection, removal of hazardous materials, and other duties as required.
• Serves as essential personnel for the department in the event of an emergency.
• Picks up trash and refuse in rooms, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, classrooms, etc. Transports waste and recycle bins to central area or main disposal receptacle.
• Cleans patios, courtyards, balconies, staircases, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are related to the position.

Temporary

Completion of the ninth (9th) Grade.

• One position will work from Saturday-Thursday, 2pm to 10:30pm. The other position will work from Monday-Friday, 2pm to 10:30pm.

$15.00/hour

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), a temporary employee who works on average 30 hours or more per week may be eligible to enroll in health care benefits. As a temporary employee, you are also eligible to enroll in supplemental plans (e.g. dental, vision,) which requires full payment on your part.
