Summary:
Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC., is seeking a Technical Writer to provide high quality documentation that tells the story of one of our State, Tribal, Local, Territorial Taskforce. This role will work closely with the Program Manager, and you will be tasked with collaborating with several stakeholders to grasp the details needed for writing.
Essential Job Functions:
- Produce high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Work with internal teams on product and documentation requirements.
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
- Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Create and maintain the integrity of the information and documentation.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
- Excellent written skills in English
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Public Health, Management, Computer Science, Health Communications, or related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s of Science in Business Administration, Public Health, Management, Computer Science, Health Communications, or related field.
- 6+ years of proven experience in writing technical documentation
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs
- Detail-oriented
