JOB DESCRIPTION: TEAM LEAD, CLIENT CARE WORKER

Description: Reports to the house manager; coordinates client care workers and their schedules; monitors and implements daily house routines, house rules and programs with clients; interacts with residents in a supportive manner and encourages follow through on their service plans; suggests ideas for program changes/improvements.

Preferred Qualifications: Some college or trade school education preferred and two years of relevant experience. Candidate must be tech-savvy and comfortable using MS Office products and efficient at learning other database programs. S/he has the ability to provide leadership and work independently, act conscientiously with staff and clients. Some drug, alcoholism, mental health counseling skills is a plus. Must be committed to helping the homeless population.

Principal Activities:

• Oversees scheduling of 24x7 coverage and ensures communication of changes across client care worker team.
• Develops the trust and respect of the residents; acts as a role model in compassion toward clients for client care workers to emulate.
• Builds good relationships with staff, communicates client needs and issues to case managers.
• Takes responsibility for guiding client care workers on best practices and cleaning protocols.
• Ensures proper training for use of wands and that clients are always wanded upon entry.
• Ensures initial intakes are completed correctly and that all clients are clear on house rules.
• Ensures narratives and incident reports filed by client care workers are concise, correct and saved properly.
• Maintains a safe environment free of weapons, drugs and alcohol.
• Attends staff meetings and in-service training workshops as required.
• Supports management with protocols and processes related to state and county requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
