We Are Now Hiring Teacher Assistants!!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Teachers Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to:
assisting the lead teacher with the development, preparation, and implementation of lesson plans;
reinforcing lessons by reviewing materials with students one-on-one or in small groups,
overseeing students during non-classroom times, including lunch break, field trips, and outdoor activities;
assisting lead teachers with the documentation of student progress and communication with parents;
assisting the lead teacher with recordkeeping, such as daily attendance and calculating grades;
participating in professional development, conferences and meetings.
Report to the assigned teacher(s)
Competencies
The potential candidate must continuously grow towards proficiency in instruction, teamwork, and professional development.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree, Associate degree, High School diploma, or equivalent qualification. Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices. Must have a compassionate and positive attitude; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
