Job description
Bonnie Brae, a Special Education School and Residential Treatment Facility for at risk boys, is seeking a full-time Teacher capable of working in a team environment and willing to teach a variety of subjects as needed. Many of the students have struggled in school and have a variety of academic backgrounds and functioning levels. The Teacher must be creative, hardworking, flexible and able to engage students in hands-on learning.
Candidates will possess the following:
Education / Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor?s Degree.
- Certificate: CE, CEAS or Standard.
- Current letter of approval from the Office of Criminal History Review.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Experience:
- Operates from a personal code of ethics.
- Skilled in methods of effective classroom management.
- Skilled in methods of managing student behavior.
- Able to supervise students in structured and unstructured situations.
- Capable of writing clear, informative, grammatically correct evaluative reports.
- Capable of basic computer literacy.
