Job description

Responsibilities will include:

· Preparation mostly for Individual income tax returns, but the corporate and partnership should also have a working knowledge in the preparation of business income tax returns

· Preparation of Foreign filings including FBARs, Form 1116, 5471, 5472, etc. is a big plus

· Reviewing and responding to government notices on client's behalf

· Prepare and analyze fixed asset and related depreciation schedules

· Analysis of income statement and balance sheet

· Prepare tax planning and estimates

· Ideally, the candidate will be able to prepare quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, assist with related disclosures, test deferred tax balances and reconcile tax filings to the tax provision.

· Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence and guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other tax authorities

Requirement:

· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field

· CPA/EA Licenses or being in truck to get a license is required

· Masters in Taxation is a plus

· Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience preparing tax returns in a CPA firm

· Candidate must have strong communication, organizational, and analytic skills

· Developing and maintaining excellent working relationship with all levels of clients

· Understanding of FBAR reporting, PFIC reporting, and other foreign jurisdiction reporting a plus

· Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

· Knowledge of ProSystem Fx Tax is a big advantages

· Knowledge of Engagement and/or Fixed Assets is a plus

Knowledge QuickBooks and/or Peachtree is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
