Position Summary
The Talent Development Manager, Americas will be responsible for the learning and development of the region. Reporting into the GTD Director, partnering with HR and leadership to ensure that all areas of the business are supported and all employees within the remit have access to the Enterprise Core Content and Global programs/initiatives. Partnerships with Commercial and Global Supply Chain, supporting equitable & inclusive learning across Teleflex.
Principal Responsibilities
- Support the Talent Development Director & function by managing and delivering L&D, organizational development aligning to the Global Talent Development Strategy
- Delivery and management of Enterprise Core Content across the Americas- requiring partnerships with sites across North America and LatAm.
- Support the design, development, implementation and delivery of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet OD needs and program goals in agreement with GTD Director.
- Analysis of company-wide programs and/or training initiatives that need to be changed and/or implemented in order to increase organizational effectiveness in the region.
- Identify/ incorporate best practices and lessons learned into proven company processes for organizational change management, performance management and talent management.
- CONNECT Learning Admin tasks as necessary and in agreement with LMS management.
- Manage the coordination of all Teleflex training programs within the TD Americas remit- this includes communicating, training and organizing facilitators, locations, training materials and delivery.
- Partnership with GTD Strategic leads to fulfil strategic commitments agreed upon as a team.
- Partnership with HR, Leadership and BUs to provide relevant, needs-based learning and training in line with Global vision and initiatives.
- Supporting KTD review needs- this includes the attendance of reviews (where appropriate), support of HR, Leadership & TD with KTD data/knowledge and any subsequent needs analysis and implementation.
- Must exercise discretion and independent judgement with use of authority to formulate, affect, interpret, and act upon management policies with independent discretion when GTD Director is not available. Responsible for managing the administration of the department’s budget, signing invoices and negotiating on behalf of the company within the Americas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Appropriate experience in training- delivery and management.
- University/College level of interest- or equal experience in the occupational area.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong project management experience is required.
- Willingness to work with managers and teams from all areas and levels of the business.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects within agreed-upon deadlines
- Self-motivated and works independently.
- Ability to work with a global, remote team.
- Ability to work with and manage responsibilities from leadership within the organization
- Creative mindset to uphold engagement, commitment and buy in from stakeholders- both learning participants and business needs
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 40 %. Including international travel.
