Our team has the technical skills and passion for digging in deep with entrepreneurs, helping them solve technical challenges to execute their visions.

We are seeking a Talent Consultant to work alongside the wider Playground team to support our portfolio companies on all things people and talent. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a strong foundation in startup tech recruiting and is energized by working on a wide range of talent and people projects. This is a 6-month contract position, with the possibility of becoming a full-time role.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with portfolio companies and provide advice and assistance on talent and people topics as they grow.
• Expand Playground's network of passive and active talent to introduce to portfolio companies for key high-impact roles.
• Mentor and guide our Talent Apprentices as they learn the ropes of recruiting.
• Evaluate and recommend recruiting tools based on needs within the portfolio.
• Manage and expand our talent resources and guides that are shared with portfolio companies.
• Support internal Playground hiring as needed.
• Coordinate people and talent events and workshops.

Requirements:

• 5+ year(s) of total experience, including some time spent working at a startup and on technical roles.
• Ability to become a trusted advisor, with experience solving complex challenges and delivering solutions.
• Excellent in written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency in your deliverables.
• Ability to take initiative and build productive relationships.
