Summary:
Upbound staffing is a staffing agency powered by the Autism Alliance of Michigan. We serve individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder connecting them with employment opportunities throughout the state of Michigan. With this, we have an interdisciplinary team of professionals develop and support candidates throughout the hiring process, transition into work, and throughout the employee life cycle to ensure a successful employment experience.
The core objective of the Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) is to work with the Talent Acquisition Leader to execute the overall talent acquisition strategy for Upbound Staffing. The TAS will execute full cycle recruiting while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic support to our candidates and partner employers. For job seekers and internal candidates, the TAS serves as a front-line ambassador for the talent acquisition process and will guide each candidate through the recruitment process to job placement. The TAS is also the main liaison between candidates and employers throughout the hiring process to ensure a smooth transition while meeting the needs of both customers.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Act as an ambassador of the Upbound program with job seekers that are interested in our services, holistically and honestly discussing the value of the program and its applicability to their needs
- Participate in the full lifecycle of the hiring process from initial recruitment through job placement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the candidate and employer to ensure both party’s needs are met throughout the recruitment and hiring process.
- Update job descriptions, post jobs, source candidates, review resumes, conduct and coordinate candidate interviews.
- Evaluate current and new talent pool to best match candidates to open job requisitions with input for the team.
- Consult with hiring managers to drive the hiring process, providing feedback, and advice throughout the process.
- Develop an understanding of each partner company’s image, culture, environment, and open roles
- Find and build networks in all areas in the community (universities, clubs, chambers, community organizations, etc).
- Represent Upbound Staffing at recruitment events
- Utilize our applicant tracking system to organize all open job requisitions, candidates, and coordinate activities amongst the internal team.
- Partner with our marketing department to build social media campaigns to target new applicants.
- Leverage creative thinking and problem solving to continuously change the way we attract talent and get them in front of employer partners.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Lead to continuously improve recruitment efforts to maximize impact.
- Core Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business, human resources, or social service related fields
- 1-3 years’ work experience in talent acquisition or workforce development
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to juggle multiple task simultaneously
- An unwavering commitment to confidentiality
- Must be able to work in the US indefinitely without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience (academic or professional) with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Experience working with (or as) an individual with a disability
- Experience working within the staffing industry

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
