HOURLY WAGE $15.00 + TIPS
JOB SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Table Games Dealer to provide prompt, accurate and courteous service while showing skill in dealing their assigned game. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deals assorted card games to players according to the rules of the game.
Deals a standardized, smooth, and mechanically efficient game.
Collects house winnings, and ensures that winners are paid correctly.
Notifies appropriate supervisor of any irregularities on their game.
Answers all questions concerning the game.
Corrects simple errors in procedures and policy and notifies Table Games Manager of same.
Reports all incidents to Table Games Manager.
Deals cards as required by the type of game.
Determines winners and losers.
Responsible for Game Protection.
Maintains an orderly table and an appropriate playing speed in a courteous manner.
Responsible for their table bank assets.
Upholds a high level of service by helping to create a friendly, pleasant atmosphere for players.
Must use tact and exercise finesse in the handling of complaints or related problems.
Complies with Blackjack and/or Poker Room policies and procedures and dealer handbook.
Exercises good judgment at all times to maintain a continuity of game activity.
Reports any problems or unusual incidents to Table Games Manager, and/or Security, and Surveillance.
Complies with BlueWater Resort & Casino rules and regulations.
Complies with Federal, State and Tribal laws.
Works in a safe manner; complies with company and OSHA safety regulations.
Unusual situations will require performing other duties to ensure efficient customer service and Blackjack and/or Poker Operations including alcoholic beverage control.
All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).
EDUCATIONAL and/or EXPERIENCE: High school or GED equivalent preferred. Applicants must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience. Audition is required. Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, vibration, crowds and air quality. Must complete Liquor Law training. Must be at least 21 years of age.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and mobility to move easily around pit/poker area.
