Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Delivers on-site training instruction of assigned applications of the OneCare Epic electronic health record (EHR) system to a diverse audience of End Users throughout the ambulatory clinics of CHI Franciscan Health System including initial training, retraining, system update training, and webinar training. Work focuses primarily on delivering direct and targeted training to healthcare providers and other users who need in-depth support in order to maximize full system utilization in meeting patient care standards and operational needs. Training may be one-on-one with end user or in a small group setting at a clinic site. Travel is required to other FHS sites for meetings and classes.
Work includes: 1) providing tutorial or special audience training; 2) assisting with go-live support for the End Users during new provider on-boarding, acquisitions, new build implementation, and system updates; 3) coordinating and delivering workflow dress rehearsals for department moves, adds and changes; and 4) coordinating and delivering system-focused re-training on critical issues. This job is also accountable for maintaining the readiness of support tool-kits, assembling training materials, and generating status reports on training sessions and participating in the quality improvement process.

This job requires successful completion of the Epic credentialing process which includes a 5 – 7 week training program on the application(s), to include “teach back” methodology, successful completion of a teaching presentation before a panel, and successful completion of a Credentialing exam.

Essential Duties:
Delivers on-site training and/or webinars for assigned application(s) of OneCare Epic Program; collaborates with Learn System Administrators to ensure accurate attendance and reporting from classes.
Assesses the effectiveness of the training processes/material to assist in identifying and implementing to quality improvements.
Provides ”Go Live” support, new provider on-boarding, new build training and/or re-training to correct system critical issues; responsible for planning, developing and running all clinical workflow dress rehearsal’s (WDR’s) for new or acquired clinic go-live.
Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • Credential Trainer certificate and two years of related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
  • Work experience in a health-care related environment, including providing on-the-job training relating to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) is required.
  • LPN or MA preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills to perform the essential functions of the position may be substituted for the degree requirement.

License/Certification:
  • Credentialed Trainer status with OneCare Epic Training Leadership team or Epic Certification, maintains currency.

Pay Range
$26.51 - $38.44 /hour
